Occasionally there comes along an actor, or in this case an actress, that just clicks with viewers. Zhao Zanilia is just such an actress. She is so tiny, but on my screen, she seems larger than life as she plays character after memorable character. Which is why she deserves her very own Fangirl Stalking post. Come join me as I share all the dramas you should be watching as well as those that you can afford to skip despite Zhao Zanilia’s talented presence.
Lately I’ve been boohooing over all of our favorite actors who are leaving for the military, but now I’m going to focus on our guys who are coming home or already home. We tend to have them leave for the military in groups, but it feels like they come home slowly and one at a time. There are many reasons to be excited for the end of an actor’s military service. I’m completely shallow and I love seeing all the post military abs that are always showcased in the first drama after they return. Seriously though, there is something about a man who has served his country and that level of loyalty and service changes how they play their roles. We may see an actor in a comedy, but suddenly he is playing his character with more depth and personality than we’ve ever seen, and I think this is a good thing. Continue reading
Thinking about how to say goodbye for now…
This year several of the stars that I’ve come to love are leaving for the military and it feels like drama land will be so empty without them. I’ve been a drama fan for long enough to know that leaving for the military doesn’t have to be the kiss of death for our favorite guys. Let’s send off Ji Chang Wook with hopes that he stays safe and happy and comes back with several new projects to delight us and hopefully one that will showcase his post military abs! During a recent fangirl post I realized that Kim Seul Gi hasn’t graced our screens in a regular (not web) drama in a while. I love her quirky roles and her cameos are always great, but I’m really excited that she has a supporting role in the new drama Lookout coming out soon. This is one actress that I am cheering for to eventually get a role as the lead in a romantic comedy because she is so talented, but we almost always see her in supporting roles.
While stalking major hallyu stars is a beautiful way to spend a few weeks, sometimes it’s fun to stalk a rising star. One who has some drama credits to his name but who can be effectively stalked in a couple (sleepless) days. One who happens to be a rising k-pop star. One who- oh, I don’t know- has a porcelain baby face and a crush on our favorite mermaid. Fellow stalkers, I give you the play by play of our favorite hacker, Teo-Oh, otherwise known as Shin Won-Ho. Continue reading
It has come to my attention from several of our readers that I have been remiss in doing a Fangirl Stalking post for my ultimate bias of all time Seo In Guk. It isn’t because I don’t love him (as we all know that I do) but just the thought that I write about him so much that I might annoy people with my fangirl exuberance. But obviously that is not the case since we have had requests so without further ado……here are my thoughts on Seo In Guk’s filmography! Continue reading
With a nickname like The God of Asia, you know Lee Min Ho is kind of a big deal. It’s not hard to see why.
Good looking? Ohmygosh, I can’t stop staring.
Acting chops? All day long, baby.
He’s gorgeous, talented and … actually, I heard he might be kind of a jerk in real life, but with a face like that, I’ll give him a pass. He’s my original bias, the leading man who first swept me off into the world of Kdramas and as such, he will always have a special place in my heart. Continue reading
