Disclaimer: I am a maknae in EVERYTHING when it comes to Korean entertainment. My sunbaes who are Shawols were very kind and allowed me to take SHINee, since that is the only group I’m even remotely acquainted with. THANK YOU, Jennie Bennett!
Y’know, there’s a reason that Kmuse’s name is Kmuse. She really is my inspiration when it comes to picking dramas. I’ll whine that I have time to kill between finishing a series and waiting for the poll to close and she ALWAYS has the perfect solution. She’s also happy to promote Seo In Guk to new fans anytime, anywhere. And for very good reason. Because of her, I’m now a huge fan myself.
I had a terrible time starting this series, y’all. I was raised to say “please” and “thank you” on a regular basis, and I’m raising my children in Texas, so we add “ma’am” and “sir” when needed. The female lead of I Hear Your Voice, Jang Hye Sung, was NOT raised that way and she got on my nerves at the beginning. There was a point when she finally said “thank you” to someone and I actually said, OUT LOUD, “How did those words taste coming out of your mouth?” Made my husband laugh and he was in a different room!
KMUSE is on vacation so I’m stepping in for a recap of Squad 38 this week. It didn’t take much to convince me to dish with you guys about Seo In Guk. Well, and his little band of merry con-artists.
The top kdrama shows buzzed about internationally aren’t always the same ones that get the rating in Korea. So this year instead of doing the Khottie list from just my personal favorites or what was talked about on Dramafever or the like, this list is based on the highest rated shows in Korea.
