Cheese in the Trap gives us a quick intro into the main characters of the drama. While watching, I almost got a drama style of speed dating vibe. “Are you going to like this character? If so, swipe left, if not let’s look at more options.”
Cheese in the Trap is the drama adaption of a famous webtoon by the same name. I have to admit I only got a little ways into the original work, but could already tell that it would be easily adaptable for a drama. I have not gone back to read the webtoon mostly because I was burned so badly by another webtoon adaptation Orange Marmalade. I have firmly learned my lesson on that situation.
**SYNOPSIS:
This drama depicts the delicate relationship between female university student Hong-Seol (Kim Go-Eun) and her senior Yoo-Jung (Park Hae-Jin). Hong-Seol works part-time due to her family’s poor background. Yoo-Jung is good looking, gets good grades, athletic and has a kind personality, but he has a dark side.
If we learn nothing else from this trailer, it is that all the characters from the drama have amazing hair. I haven’t been this jealous of curly red hair since I was a kid watching Annie. Cheese in the Trap is set to air on January 4th. The perfect new years gift to all kaddicts.
