We are so close to the end! Check out our least favorite Kdramas of 2015. Also, Happy New Year to all our readers and we are wishing you and your loved ones a drama filled 2016.
Most Boring –
KMUSE: Warm And Cozy won this award in my opinion. I have rarely seen a couple that bored me as much as these two. Even their fights tended to be doze-worthy.
Biggest Bag of “meh” –
CLKYTTA–Jekyll, Hyde and I. I was super excited to see this one because I love Hyun Bin. So much potential, so many dimpled smiles from Robin! Sadly, the storyline was meh, and the heroine was meh, and it was a lot of work to watch this one and see it through to the end for me.
KMUSE: I have to agree with Clkytta. Jekyll, Hyde, and I was such extremely bad “meh” that it was almost unbearable. To be honest, if I hadn’t been recapping the drama I would have dropped it halfway through.
KdramaJen: I think Jekyll, Hyde, and I was bad, but I found Bubblegum “meh.” I watched for a bit, but I was just not impressed. I found myself watching while doing other things, and then realized I was not really watching because I need to be able to see the subtitles. That was when I realized that I was completely indifferent. There were some interesting fashion choices (wool coats in pastels and bright yellow kind of rock), but overall…I concentrated more on cleaning out the refrigerator than the plot.
Best Cast that was Poorly Used
KMUSE: The Time We Were Not In Love had a cast of actors that I love. I really wanted to be rooting for this adaptation of a popular Taiwanese drama. But after multiple director changes and tons of behind the scenes drama, this drama fell flat. I don’t know who is to blame for this disaster, but it is a drama I will be blocking from my memory.
KdramaJen: I liked the T-drama version and I LOVE Ha Ji-won. This one also just didn’t work for me. It was like a cake that was baked with all the right ingredients, but something went wrong in the oven. I am not sure what happened, but it just wasn’t tasty!
Biggest Disappointment –
CLKYTTA-Yong Pal, stellar cast, great premise, lackluster story. I never related to the heroine. The writers really didn’t give her any redeeming qualities, they made her into a monster instead. I really wanted more Cynthia.
KdramaJen: This was also probably my biggest disappointment because I came in with such high hopes! Joo Won is so awesome in everything. I was just so disappointed in…pretty much everyone else. Cynthia was a bright spot. I kind of wanted Yong Pal to ditch the girl in the coma and run away with Cynthia.
KMUSE: Sadly, the spy drama aptly named SPY was such a disappointment. It was such a great concept and I loved all the actors except the leading lady. The plot just meandered about and never really went as gritty as I was hoping.
Drama I Most Wanted to go Nuclear On –
CLKYTTA– Shine or Go Crazy, it had me hooked from episode one and I don’t know what happened at the end. It was like the writers forgot what drama they were writing for. I literally screamed at my screen on the last couple of episodes.
KdramaJen: I LOVED Shine or Go Crazy…right up until they ruined everything with the most craptastic ending! I was also not happy with end game in School 2015, but I was at least expecting it.
KMUSE: For me, it was Perseverance, Goo Hae Ra. That show was so bad, I had to force myself to watch each week. I kept expecting it to get better but by the end, I just wanted both guys to run as fast as they could away from that mopey girl.
KdramaJen: I ended up with a B1A4 addiction as a result, so it wasn’t all bad for me. I also have a soft spot for idol dramas, so I can be more forgiving. The mopey girl did annoy me, though. What did she have to be mopey about? Did you see the talented Khotties surrounding her?
We are so close to the end of our 2015 posts! I am hoping to get them all out in the next three days so be sure to check back. Also feel free to take a look at our published End of Year posts linked below.
