We have a new weekend romantic comedy coming our way starring Kim Hee Ae (Secret Love Affair) and Ji Jin Hee (I Have A Lover) as an OTP (one true pairing) who has avoided love til they are firmly out of their youthful years. Second to Last Love is yet another drama riding on the “Ahjumma Romance” genre train that has been so popular in the last year. And judging from the trailer, people are idiots regarding love whether it is in your teens or forties.
SYNOPSIS: Second to Last Love is a remake of the Japanese drama “Saigo Kara Nibanme no Koi.” Ko Sang-Sik is in his 40’s and still single. He works as the environmental facility section chief at city hall. Ko Sang-Sik becomes involved with Kang Min-Joo. She is also in her 40’s and still single. She works as a PD at a broadcasting station.
Second to Last Love is set to air on July 23rd following the conclusion of Beautiful Gong Shim.

Same. I wasn’t planning on watching since it sounded so serious. But this is making me think of A Gentleman’s Dignity. I am totally going to give this one a chance.
