Lee Jong Suk has been a bias of mine from way back.  Maybe not Secret Garden days, but definitely by School 2013.  So I am thrilled to do a Lee Jong Suk edition of Fangirl Stalking.  And it comes right in time to promote his new drama that Jennie B and I will be co-capping.

The Rules of Fangirl Stalking:

We will start with the dramas I think are must watch works by the actor.  Followed by the shows that could go either way.  This means that they are worth watching in my opinion, but I know there are some people who don’t like the genre.  Lastly, we will cover the dramas/movies that you really could skip and not miss much (at least in regards of the actor featured).  These are the shows that are for die-hard fans who want to watch everything.  So let’s jump into obsessing about Lee Jong Suk

School 2013

BROMANCE GALORE!!!!!  Sure there is a great story about bullying in Korean’s school system and getting through high school with your sanity intact.  But the real draw is Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin’s epic bromance.  A bromance that surpasses the majority romantic OTPs (one true pairing) out there.

Since I couldn’t write about this drama without falling into a Heung Soo & Nam Soon Youtube ship black hole, I decided to share the love.  Enjoy.

Depending On My Mood

High Kick! The Revenge of the Short Legged

I personally enjoy the High Kick series writer.  That said, not everyone likes the long episode count, quirky character arcs, and laugh track.  Also, be warned that this writer’s endings can be a bit lackluster.  I think that the great comedic moments outweigh the cons but it really depends on everyone’s personal drama taste.

Hot Young Bloods (Movie)

Angsty thug teens growing up in the country and finding love. This movie had a lot of entertaining moments.  Sadly there were a lot of “meh” moments as well.  But with only a two hour commitment this movie is an easy Lee Jong Suk fix.

No Breathing (Movie)

A movie about two swimmers trying to beat their own personal records and deal with emotional issues.  YAY!  But the real highlight is that Seo In Guk and Lee Jong Suk  are shirtless for huge chunks of the show.

THATS RIGHT!  Lee Jong Suk and Seo In Guk are shirtless ……….a lot……… and showing off their sexy bodies.   Do we really need a plot at this point?  Sadly, if you disregard the sexiness level, the plot is just so so.  But it is easy to ignore because of the khottie eye candy.

For the Die Hard Fans

Secret Garden

I love Secret Garden.  But when looking only at Lee Jong Suk’s character ……. well, he is a bit on the newbie side of the acting scale. But even with an uneven performance Lee Jong Suk’s charisma still shined through so it all turned out well in the end.

Doctor Stranger

Never have I wished a leading lady to just die (and stay dead) more than I did while watching this drama.  Lee Jong Suk did the best he could with the material given, but a crazy plot and a bad co-star caused this drama to be a huge flop.
