Dramas with a Side of Kimchi
I enjoyed listening to this podcast. I am also always quite frustrated with open ending dramas. For me other good examples are Goblin and You who came from the Stars…yes we imagine they end up together but for how long? And was it for good?
I think the reason the season 2 of scarlet heart did so bad is because China banned all time travel in dramas. That caused a problem for the writers (as they could not use half of the plot). So maybe the Korean remake was hoping to do a season 2, but was not able to because it did not do as well as they had hoped (and many cast members were drafted or will soon be drafted).
