Seo In Guk & Jung So Min exchange glances in first stills from upcoming drama The Smile has Left Your Eyes

I am so EXCITED!  Those of you who have been longtime followers of the blog know that I have had a deep love for the actor Seo In Guk since way back when he was in Love Rain.  So to finally have another drama coming my way after his long hiatus has made my week, my month, heck, maybe even my year.  Yes, I know these are only stills of our future OTP (one true pairing), but I swear I can already feel the chemistry jumping from the screen.

Synopsis: A mysterious sous chef catches the attention of a detective when his girlfriend’s apparent suicide turns out to be a murder cover-up. As the detective digs more and more into his suspect, he learns about the sous chef’s womanizing, his obsessive girlfriend, and how it might relate to a painful memory in the detective’s past. Things only get more complicated when the detective’s younger sister develops a relationship with the sous chef, and the detective tries to save her from the possible murderer’s influence as the evidence and body count rises. The Smile Has Left Your Eyes (Hundred Million Stars From the Sky) is a remake of the Japanese drama of the same name.  I have heard from second-hand sources that the plot gets a little trippy when it comes to psychological suspenseful scenes so I am interested to see where it takes us.  It will also be interesting to watch Seo In Guk play a different kind of role than he has in the past.  Whether his character’s bad boy reputation is true or not we will have to wait and see.  Personally, I am avoiding looking too deeply into the original’s plot so I can be surprised and thrilled along with everyone else.

“The Smile Has Left Your Eyes” will premiere on September 26.  Will you be watching with me?  Be sure to let us know your thoughts on this drama, casting, etc.  There is nothing I love better than chatting SIG.

  1. I’m super excited too, even though it’s not my go-to type of drama. I think these two are going to be an amazing pair!

  2. Nah, I seriously doubt they’ll go the jdrama route. Especially that ending, I just can’t see a kdrama going there. Well, maybe if it’s OCN, at a pinch. But, there’s always the chance they’ll surpise me. ☺
