Kmuse here!  Finally back and ready to get my Kpop on.  While I was trying to figure out what I should focus on, it came to me that I haven’t talked about the latest songs/performances that have shown up in the last little while.  So I am going to take a break from looking at the past and share which new songs I think you need to check out.

BTS MMA Award Performance

Notice I said MVs or performances……mostly because it would be tragic not to mention the jaw-dropping performance given by BTS at the Melon Music Awards.  The costumes, the energy, and the level of artmanship deserve all the love.

Sadly, the quality isn’t as HD as I would love, so if anyone knows of a copy that is cleaner, let me know in the comments.  I’m sharing this second video, but it only has the 2nd half of the performance in it. It’s worth watching because the quality is a bit crisper.

Red Velvet – RBB (Really Bad Boy)

Red Velvet can be so much fun to listen to when one of their songs clicks.  Sadly, it has been a while since I have loved any of their newer stuff.  But I think the drought is over with their newest MV “Really Bad Boy”.  Their catchy chorus has me tapping my toes and just makes me happy.

Onew – Blue

SHINee fans, please don’t shoot me but Onew has never been on my radar.  So imagine my surprise when I randomly click on his new solo MV and discover the voice that was hiding behind all the other members.  Why hasn’t he done a solo song before?  After this, I might even declare him the best voice of the group.  It’s just too bad that he is heading into the military today and I can’t delve deeper into his solo talent.

Nue’st W – Help Me

I’m not saying that I only love this MV for Ren’s gorgeous hairstyle and adventurous wardrobe choices . . . but I totally watched this because of Ren.  Luckily the song was decent, if not a bit dated.  Was it just me that felt this could have easily been released a good 6 or 7 years ago?  But it has that sexy white/blueish-haired Ren, so it makes the list.

Mamamoo – No More Drama & Wind Flower

“Wind Flower” is Mamamoo’s latest MV release and while I really enjoy it, I can’t help but wish that “No More Drama” was the one they chose to make their main comeback song.  I guess I will just have to be satisfied that they are performing it, along with “Wind Flower”, in their live comeback shows.  Which out of the two do you like more?
