I have a confession – I made a rather rash and spur of the moment decision last week. I started a new C-drama without waiting for my fellow fangirls to tell me how it ended! Eeeek! I just recklessly pushed play. And then I KEPT pushing play. And now, 10 episodes later, here I am fangirling alongside Clkytta over this drama! Join us as we share why you should be watching this wonderfully, fluffy frivolousness too!
But first things first – here’s a quick synopsis from MDL:
An intergalactic romance follows an alien girl stuck on planet Earth. She crosses paths with an overbearing CEO who forgets the opposite sex whenever it rains.
Hailing from planet Cape Town, Chai Xiao Qi finds herself held up on Earth after accidentally losing a homing device. She is not just an ordinary alien, but a coquettish master at chasing guys. Once she inhales men’s hormones, it becomes a drug that releases her deepest inhibitions and puts her in the state of mind of a total fangirl. In order to survive among the humans, Chai Xiao Qi relies on her supernatural abilities to get out of trouble time and again.
Meanwhile, Fang Leng is an overbearing CEO who suffers from heterosexual amnesia whenever it rains which causes him to forget the women around him on rainy days. These unusual circumstances between Chai Xiao Qi and Fang Leng ultimately lead to a romance that is full of laughs.
#3 Alien Girls Have All The Fun!

MiataMama: I love our shipwrecked alien! Xiao Qi, played by Wan Peng, is so adorably cute and bubbly. Not only is she endowed with a few special powers (freezing time is my favorite), but her other-worldly forthrightness has definitely made for some hilarious interactions with the local humans!
Clkytta: I believe what MiataMama is trying to say is that our lovely marooned alien is secretly one of the fangirls. Ha Ha! She is OBSESSED with male chests. Why is she obsessed? Not necessarily with all chests, but definitely with our male lead. She thinks he smells fantastic (this fangirl wishes
#2 Cheesy CGI Sidekicks

MiataMama: After their crash landing, Xiao Qi’s travel assistant turns up in an unexpected form. . . Enter the totally cringe-worthy, CGI-turtle sidekick! While not quite as endearing as the hamster from the Legend of Fuyao, surprisingly enough, this animated character has grown on me. And I find myself repeatedly amused whenever Xiao Qi pulls the tortoise out of her bag to brainstorm their next big move.
Clkytta: Aww, I love that her sidekick was swallowed by a turtle and now is in the form of a turtle. It’s not the worst CGI pet/assistant I’ve seen. Her distress when her friend freezes up and shuts down really endears me to both of them.
#1 Cotton Candy level FLUFF!

MiataMama: Attractive leads? Check. (Hsu Thassapak plays the male lead, Fang Leng, and is quite easy on the eyes!) Simple plot-line? Check. (
Clkytta: Sorry MiataMama, you flip-flopped the first and third reasons! The real reason to watch is to see how many times Xiao Qi attacks Fang Leng and all the shenanigans that happen because she can’t keep her hands off of him. This is an easy watch, no brain cells will be challenged in watching this drama, and that’s ok with me. I’m in a full fluff season as school is back in session and I watch dramas to decompress.
Final Thoughts

MiataMama: I’ve been burned by some pretty unsatisfactory C-drama endings in the past. So while I’m enjoying this trip, I’m also crossing my fingers that the conclusion doesn’t disappoint!
Clkytta: I’m optimistic that this will end well. I can’t remember which drama burned MiataMama so bad that now she’s afraid of C-Drama endings, but be optimistic! We’ve had quite a few good endings lately. (MM: It was Flipped that scarred me – I’m still upset about that ending. However, I promise to stay positive when it comes to our cute alien and her shenanigans!)

OMG thank you for finding this. It is perfect fluff. She is so hilarious. “I like cooking! Cooking is fulfilling!” lol
Gotta love all the fluff – glad you’re enjoying it too!
Yes!! This drama has been so fun and I can’t wait to see how it ends! My fingers are crossed, too.
Yeay! Glad that you’re joining us in watching this cute c-drama!
I don’t want to spoil it, but I thought I’d come put a little thumbs up for the series as a whole since we were all a little worried (having most of us been burned by good beginning and bad endings before).
If you like the early episodes of the show, the ending fits nicely with the overall story and character stuff. The plot is… well it is what it is, but you’ll already be on board with that if you are enjoying it after the first few episodes, so definitely if it appeals to you early on, you’ll probably like it all the way through.
Just finished it rn and loved it so much 🌸❤
