Dramas With a Side of Kimchi
I disagree with the comparison with Queen Seon Deok. In early episode of QSD when they Introduce Mishil and how she is a force to reckon with, the viewer already invested to the story. The moment they bring Deokman into the Shilla warriors, people are anricipating and hooked so just because QSD has 60+ episode doesn’t mean the early 10 episodes isn’t actually good.
It was beloved because it’s addicting from the early episode. You can see the plot moves with the main characters and how the antagonist build her influence.
