I love having Kmuse as one of my kbesties. She makes sure that the good stuff — like Juror 8 — doesn’t fly under my radar. Come read 5 reasons why *you* should watch Juror 8 too!
5 – It’s Available on Viki
Seriously, how much easier could it get? Click HERE and press play. You won’t regret it.
4 – It’s Got a Great Plot
From our friends at AsianWiki: “Kim Joon-Kyeom (Moon So-Ri) is a presiding judge who leads the first civil participation of a criminal trial in South Korea. 8 jurors are selected for the criminal trial including Kwon Nam-Woo (Park Hyung-Sik). The jurors are ordinary people, but, after they become jurors, they seek out the truth of the case.”
Seems straightforward, right? HA. It’s BETTER than straightforward. See Reason #3 below for more.

3 – The Writing is EXCELLENT
The excellent writing shows in how quickly the characters were fleshed out with quick broad strokes, and yet the plot had perfect tension and perfectly executed twists. There was a very dry humor throughout, as well as some tugging at the heart strings.
The pace allowed for impatience on the part of the jurors who just wanted to be DONE already, and then slowed down for the emotions evoked at the end after the full truth was realized.
Can I sing the praises of this movie enough? No, I cannot. GO WATCH IT ALREADY.
2 – It’s Hard to Go Wrong with a Cast This Good
Park Hyung Sik and Moon So Ri’s performances were understated and sincere – they were the heart of this movie, and they played off of each other flawlessly. And you would NOT believe how many familiar faces showed up, filling their roles with all the character and nuance you would expect from such seasoned actors.
Make sure you watch out for the janitor who helps Park Hyung Sik’s character out — she’s one of my favorites. If you don’t recognize her, can you even call yourself a true kdrama fan??

1 – DID I MENTION PARK HYUNG SIK???
This was Hyungsik’s gift to us right before he went into the military this summer, and what a wonderful gift it was! I’ll definitely be watching it again.
A Word to the Wise: Watch through the ending scenes when the credits start rolling for one more giggle.

I need to watch this movie. Keep hearing good things about it, and this just confirms it 🙂
Park Hyung-S <3 K just won an award for his character portrayal. https://www.soompi.com/article/1360416wpp/winners-of-39th-korean-association-of-film-critics-awards
He totally earned it!!
I dont get the last giggle? I only see credits lol is there any after credits?
They show a little “where are they now” during the first part of the credits, and the picture of the jury made me laugh because of where Juror 8 was standing and the look on his face.
