I love the concept of bands covering other bands’ songs. When done well, covers can be a tribute to the talents of the original band, and yet still leaves room for the band doing the covering to show off their own particular talents.
After falling down a ONEWE rabbit hole the other day, I found several covers they’ve done that I love! Come see if ONEWE is good at honoring the work of the artists before them, and good at putting their own spin on things. You probably already know what I think….

“Something Just Like This” (original artist – The Chainsmokers & Coldplay)
LISTEN TO THIS. JUST LISTEN. I love what ONEWE has done with this cover — it’s an inspired remix of the song and I adore it.
“Kill This Love” (original artist – Blackpink)
Who would have thought an acoustic cover of “Kill This Love” would be so brilliant? ONEWE did, obviously! Take a listen — it’s FANTASTIC.
“Latata” (original artist – G-Idle)
This is a hot take on “Latata” and I love what they’ve done with it! It’s broody and artistic and amazing.
“HIP” (original artist – Mamamoo)
How do you pay tribute to an iconic group? By doing your own inspired cover of one of their hit songs, of course. ONEWE’s cover of “HIP” rocks — and check out CyA’s rap! He’s masterful.
N.Flying – “Into the Unknown”
Surprise! This song has been stuck in my head for WEEKS, and N.Flying’s cover is the cure. Yoo Hwe Sung is scintillating with the soaring vocals — I love his voice SO MUCH.
How do you feel about covers, k-fans? Do you love them when they’re done well, like I do? Drop down in the comments and let me know!
Until the next record spins, I remain —

If we are talking covers, we can’t leave out Day6. I have gotten lost down the YouTube rabbit hole so many times with their acoustic covers for radio shows. My favorite is Put Your Records On (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSrUHW74Yj8), but that is just one of many.
Oooh! Listening and loving it!
