Top 5 Kpop MVs: Sing Me a Song

Spring in Korea brings out all the ballads. Anyone who knows my tastes knows that ballads are an automatic “no” from me unless it has a certain je ne sais quoi. K-fans, for you I have dug through all the ballads cluttering up my YouTube suggestions to bring you these gems. Read on to see if I dug deep enough!

I’m always trying out new music! If you want to see what I’ve been spinning lately, check out my New Kpop to Spin list over on Spotify.

ONEUS – “A Song Written Easily”

ONEUS is having a comeback! I’m loving this mellow song, and the MV is a great reminder that the summer bops are on their way.

Ong Seong Wu – “Gravity”

Kdrama fans will remember Ong Seong Wu from the stellar Moment at 18, but kpop fans will remember him for this song. Well, I will, anyway. “Gravity” suits his strong, clear voice perfectly, and I can’t stop listening to it.

Winner – “Hold”

I love that Winner never really takes themselves seriously, and yet delivers such great content. This silly video is wrapped around the message of holding on and being true to your feelings. I can’t decide which I like more — the song or Winner acting like AKMU’s Suhyun’s four overprotective brothers.

Gaho – “A Song for You”

Gaho’s soaring vocals and solid instrumentals are BACK. You can bet MiataMama and I were squealing over this one. Check out the MV and see if you like Gaho’s new song as much as we do.

Kang Daniel – 2U

Like I said, a ballad has to have a certain je ne said quoi, and Kang Daniel usually fills that niche for me! Check out the “2U” MV — the concept was fun, and it was filmed in the same hotel as the official MV for BTS’ “Black Swan”.

What do you think, k-fans? Do these MVs put a little spring in your step? (Pun completely and totally intended.) Drop down in the comments and let me know!
