The Stardust Thief by Chelsea Abdullah

Synopsis:
Neither here nor there, but long ago…
Loulie al-Nazari is the Midnight Merchant: a criminal who, with the help of her jinn bodyguard, hunts and sells illegal magic. When she saves the life of a cowardly prince, she draws the attention of his powerful father, the sultan, who blackmails her into finding an ancient lamp that has the power to revive the barren land—at the cost of sacrificing all jinn.
With no choice but to obey or be executed, Loulie journeys with the sultan’s oldest son to find the artifact. Aided by her bodyguard, who has secrets of his own, they must survive ghoul attacks, outwit a vengeful jinn queen, and confront a malicious killer from Loulie’s past. And, in a world where story is reality and illusion is truth, Loulie will discover that everything—her enemy, her magic, even her own past—is not what it seems, and she must decide who she will become in this new reality.
Inspired by stories from One Thousand and One Nights, The Stardust Thief weaves the gripping tale of a legendary smuggler, a cowardly prince, and a dangerous quest across the desert to find a legendary, magical lamp.

Suddenly Lina finds herself in the dreamlike realm of the Dokkaebi, her fate in the hands of its cruel and captivating emperor. But she can win her life—if she kills him first.
Now a terrible game of life and death has begun, and even Lina’s swift, precise blade is no match for the magnetic Haneul Rui. All three books look interesting, but I think the Stardust Thief has me most intrigued. I’m going to wait until after the raffle before reading any of them… just in case. 😉
After reading the synopsis of all three books…the book that interest me the most to read is ‘Last of the Talons’. It would be awesome to read this book bringing in the New Year. I hope I get chosen as one of the lucky winners.
Oooh, I’ve been wanting to read the Daughter of the Moon Goddess! Gorgeous cover!
Congratulations Peggy. You have won the giveaway.
How exciting! Congratulations Peggy.
I’ve read Stardust Thief and Daughter. Both have immersive settings – I was right there in that desert and that celestial palace – as well as characters I wanted to spend time with. Excited to try Talons!
I’m excited for all these books! So fun! New to the blog and am loving it.
