Kpop MV Spotlight: Xdinary Heroes

Rock is and will always be my first love, and K-rock is a spectacular delight. Bands like The Rose and Onewe and Day6 get lots of listening time from me, and now I’m happy to add Xdinary Heroes to the roster! Come see what got me to pay attention to this (relatively) new band and why I’ve stuck around for more.

Xdinary Heroes was formed at the end of 2021 by JYP’s sub-label, Studio J, and debuted with the K-emo single “Happy Death Day.” The band has six members: Gunil, Jungsu, Gaon, O.de, Jun Han, and Jooyeon. All the members are involved in creating and producing the band’s music, which is always AWESOME.

“Dear H”

I know I’m not alone when I say that JooYeon’s vocals give me chills. Xdinary Heroes had been on my radar for a while, but it was “Dear H” that finally turned me from a casual listener into a fan.

“Welcome to the Black Parade”

Once I ran across their cover of My Chemical Romance’s epic hit, “Welcome to the Black Parade,” I had to listen to EVERYTHING they’ve put out.

These are some of my favorite Xdinary Heroes singles:

“Strawberry Cake”

“Sucker Punch!”

“Pluto”

“Again Again”

“Good Enough”

If emo is your thing, then I highly recommend Xdinary Heroes. If you like rock ballads, I highly recommend Xdinary Heroes. If you like incredible vocals, I highly recommend Xdinary Heroes. You see where I’m going with this – check them out!

Until the next album drops, I remain –

Karie the Maknae
