Lately I’ve been boohooing over all of our favorite actors who are leaving for the military, but now I’m going to focus on our guys who are coming home or already home. We tend to have them leave for the military in groups, but it feels like they come home slowly and one at a time. There are many reasons to be excited for the end of an actor’s military service. I’m completely shallow and I love seeing all the post military abs that are always showcased in the first drama after they return. Seriously though, there is something about a man who has served his country and that level of loyalty and service changes how they play their roles. We may see an actor in a comedy, but suddenly he is playing his character with more depth and personality than we’ve ever seen, and I think this is a good thing. Continue reading

I’ll whine that I have time to kill between finishing a series and waiting for the poll to close and she ALWAYS has the perfect solution. When Kmuse starts a text message to me that says, “Have you seen the Chinese drama…” I know I should just delete that message without looking, but like a vampire obsessed with the sunrise, I just can’t avoid it even though I know it may not be good for me and my productivity. So began my recent fall into the quirky, yet surprisingly addictive Chinese drama called The Journey. I am now watching it without subs. Yes, it sucked me in so completely! Many of our readers know that Clkytta and I have been dipping our toes into the drama/movie waters of Southern Asia. Specifically Philippine movies and dramas. This experience has been both a positive and a negative. The positive being we have found a whole new level of fun romantic movies to delve into. The negative is the lack of English subs and availability of content to foreign viewers. Which brings me to today’s topic. The Filipino TV streaming site TFC.
