OOOOOHHHHH MAN, Kim Myung Min in a comedic role is absolutely what I need right now. When you add in all the great acting and touching moments, it is exactly the feel-good drama that had me watching 5 full episodes in one day. Continue reading
These noonas/ahjummas are questioning whether we should be allowed to watch this drama because the writer and director seem to know how to seduce us a little too much. Come join Kdrama Jen and Drama Geek as we spill on whether this drama has tempted us enough to keep watching, or if we’re turned off by the negatives. Continue reading
Here was my train of thought when I saw this one pop up on Drama Fever. OOOOH, CNBLUE vamp boy who also did a wonderful job recently in Girls’ Generation 1979. YAY, Apple Butt’s wife is in it too. Hmm, maybe I should give this one a try. Now, let’s see if you should, too. Continue reading
There is finally a sageuk airing!!!! Okay, I may not really like them unless they are heavy on the mystical elements or they’re considered fusion, but I have heard several fans of this genre complaining about their absence. Truth is, I am suffering from a lack of super swoony dramas, so when Kmuse posted stills of Yoon Si Yoon I decided I HAD to check it out. Enrique, rugged and moody? Yes, please! Continue reading
This will be my last recap on this show and I can’t believe we have to say goodbye. I do want everyone out of prison and happily living their lives, but I just don’t want to say goodbye!!
I’m here to help your romance drought. The pickings are slim right now so I went on the hunt for romance and found one that might just hit that sweet spot for you.
Being in prison isn’t as fun as this show has made it seem the last few episodes. But today we get real when it comes to being locked up with criminals. With the loss of Dr. Ko (I’m still in mourning about that development) there is an empty spot in the cell and some genius decides to transfer Crony in there. Yes, the guy who stabbed Je Hyeok in the shoulder and almost ruined his baseball career. Continue reading
Are there any Goblin fans out there? Well, Kim Eun Sook has a shiny new drama coming out called Mr. Sunshine and the first teaser is out. Of course, it looks epic. Not sure Eun Sook does it any other way. The premise feels fresh, and I hope to see a part of Korean history that they don’t often cover.
This show is proving that nothing is ever as it seems, and that our characters are all onions. Today’s episode has many great reveals, some were expected, and others shocking. We also see the return of a beloved character. Continue reading
Next up on the First Impressions list is Lee Bo Young’s new drama Mother. This show is a remake of a 2010 Japanese drama by the same name.
Here is a quick synopsis of the premise. Soo Jin (Lee Bo Young) takes a temporary job as a teacher and happens upon a student Hye Na (Heo Yool) who at first glance looks to be a bit unkempt, but once Soo Jin digs deeper into the girl’s home life finds that she’s being abused. After the system seems to fail the little girl, Soo Jin kidnaps her and becomes her mother. Continue reading
