We travel from the happy lands of Iark to a much more cutthroat Arthdal as Tanya and the tribe are transported to the capital. Come join The Fangirls as we chat about all the best moments of episodes 3&4.Continue reading
Wow! It has been so long since we have done a Mane of Glory recap that I barely remember back when we did them weekly. And while we can’t 100% commit that we will be covering the whole drama (reviews are mixed so far and drama watching time is sacred) we can commit to at least one MOG recap. And there is always the chance we will continue depending on whether we all watch or not. So, for now, come join The Fangirls as we chat Arthdal Chronicles.Continue reading
One of the fangirls’ favorite things about historical dramas is the long hair on the men, known as a mane of glory. Ever Night has a lot of good looking men with great hair. But, whose is the best?Continue reading
Oh, I have been waiting for Park Bo Gum to grace my screen again, and the teasers for Encounter do not disappoint. We usually reserve the term “mane of glory” for the sageuk and historical locks, but Park Bo Gum just owns this look. It is not hard to imagine someone being tempted, perhaps longing, for an “encounter.”
Y’all know how much I struggle with watching historicals, but 100 Days My Prince is tempting me anyway! D.O. is a fantastic actor and this teaser cracks me up. How could I not be won over?
Here’s the plot summary from MDL if you need a refresher like I did: “Lee Yul falls off a cliff and nearly dies in an attempted assassination. He loses his memory and wanders for 100 days under a new name and personality. During this period, he meets Hong Sim, head of the first detective agency in Joseon.”
I’m in. Even looking at my hideously full drama plate, I will make it work SOMEHOW.
What about you, drama fans? Will you be watching? 100 Days My Prince starts on Monday, September 10th, on tvN.
Until then, I remain–

So join us as we chat about good and bad writing and how it really does make a drama worth watching. Continue reading
I just can’t. I can’t try to pretend that over half of the drama doesn’t skeeve me the heck out. So while I will be continuing to watch Hwarang for the fun school antics I will be liberally fast forwarding the fake incest parts. This also means that I won’t be recapping it at all in the future. We had some great hottie moments this week. Unfortunately, it was also mixed with a lot of boring politicking filler and awkward incest. So join me as I discuss what I liked and what I wish I could edit out in this week’s Mane of Glory. Continue reading
Hwarang began airing this week and I have thoughts…lots and lots of thoughts. And while I am not sure that we will be doing weekly recaps for this drama I did want to put down some of my initial impressions. Continue reading
