It’s a good week for dramas fans – SO many new shows have just begun! And in a rather reckless move (mostly to circumvent my indecisiveness), I decided to try them all at once. Unexpectedly, it was the new drama 365: Repeat the Year, that sucked me in for a fast and furious thrill ride! Come find out why I couldn’t stop watching this time-travel mystery.
2019 was very busy for us Fangirls, which led to many of us not being able to watch all the dramas that Korea had to offer. What amazing performances did we all miss out on? What dramas are we still dying to see? Most importantly, what gem did you watch whose brilliance we might have been blind to?
Watching dramas is my favorite pastime. And even though I greatly appreciate the more popular Hallyu actors and actresses, I often find myself bolting down random rabbit trails to fangirl over lesser-known (and under-appreciated) talent. Enter novice actor Kim Seon Ho. Admittedly, my soft spot for dimples may have be the reason I first took notice of him! But I’ve been watching his progression through Kdramas since his very first role in Chief Kim. A little bit goofy and awkward, but with an abundance of sweetness and sincerity, his characters always have surprising depth and leave a lasting impression. So come join me as introduce the charming and captivating Kim Seon Ho!
We started Do Kyung Soo & Nam Ji Hyun’s new drama 100 Days My Prince (Hundred Days’ Husband) this week. Which means it is time for another First Impressions & Unfiltered Thoughts post! Come find out if we think this quirky OTP (One True Pair) is worth watching or if it is a snoozefest skip. Continue reading →
Y’all know how much I struggle with watching historicals, but 100 Days My Prince is tempting me anyway! D.O. is a fantastic actor and this teaser cracks me up. How could I not be won over?
Here’s the plot summary from MDL if you need a refresher like I did: “Lee Yul falls off a cliff and nearly dies in an attempted assassination. He loses his memory and wanders for 100 days under a new name and personality. During this period, he meets Hong Sim, head of the first detective agency in Joseon.”
I’m in. Even looking at my hideously full drama plate, I will make it work SOMEHOW.
What about you, drama fans? Will you be watching? 100 Days My Prince starts on Monday, September 10th, on tvN.
