Fangirl’s Turkish Movie Review: Midnight at the Pera Palace

I had some time to flip through Netflix this weekend, and I was immediately drawn to this drama. Time travel, mystery, a country on the edge of revolution, and Agatha Christie? Sign me up! I marathon-watched this drama in one day, which was easy since it’s only eight episodes.

Throwback Thursday: Dramas You Should Watch-Mask

As I sit here in January of 2021, I’m remembering a time when I was an avid reader of a Kdrama blog called The Crazy Ahjummas. They were recapping a drama that I was deeply invested in called Mask. Drama Review- Radiant

Never judge a drama by its synopsis.

I have started so many dramas in the past couple of months, prepared to watch a certain story line or genre based on the plot synopsis. After beginning, though, I come to find what I was promised and what I’m actually watching are two entirely different things.  Sometimes, unfulfilled expectations can be super frustrating. And sometimes, they can give you the gift of a fantastic drama you may not have pushed play on otherwise.  Radiant is one of these dramas.  Nothing could have prepared me for the journey I embarked on.  (And that’s probably a good thing!)  Come join DramaGeek and I as we share our thoughts on this hidden gem.

Reassessing Romance is a Bonus Book

Sometimes the Fangirls have differing opinions about a drama. There are times we have hive-mind-like thoughts about a show, but then there are some dramas  that appeal to one or two of us, but not the rest. That’s not a bad thing at all. We are all different and find value and meaning in a variety of experiences and dramas.  This is certainly the case with Romance is a Bonus Book. Read on to hear why Kdrama Jen kept watching.
