In another Asian country that is close to our hearts, education is not always available to every person who wants it. That’s why we’re proud to support Walk Her to School!

Walk Her to School is a walk-a-thon fundraiser designed to help Cambodian girls get the funds they need to finish high school. In addition to books and uniforms, these lovely girls must also pay board and tuition — financial obligations that are often far out of reach for most Cambodian families.

What Would You Give…?

Once in a while, there’s an opportunity that hits you squarely between the eyes and you can’t help but follow up on it. Our own Kdrama Jen has had the chance to join forces with the Butterfly Pea Charitable Foundation to help improve health and educational standards in the floating village of Prek Toal in Cambodia, and she has been having an amazing experience.

For decades, Cambodia has been embroiled in conflict, but now the people of Cambodia have the opportunity to put all their hope into the rising generation, doing what they can to create a better life for their children through education.

With the efforts of dedicated teachers and the support of the Butterfly Pea Charitable Foundation, most of the children in Prek Toal are receiving a formal education that would not have been available before. Like any charitable efforts, however, there are a few goals that seem just out of reach.

That’s where we come in.

The cost of helping these amazing teachers receive the education and certification they need is just under $800. While this is not an astronomical sum to most of us, in a third world country like Cambodia, it is wildly expensive. But the certification would enable them to provide a better education to the students they teach, and that is their one goal.

In conjunction with the Butterfly Pea Charitable Foundation, we have created a gorgeous calendar featuring the students and the qualities they embody — or hope to embody in the future — as they strive to make a better world for themselves and their families.

All proceeds from the sales of the calendar will go towards the Butterfly Pea Charitable Foundation and the educational and health initiatives it supports. You can pick up your copy at https://www.createphotocalendars.com/Shop/thebutterflypeacharitablefoundation.

BONUS INCENTIVE: If we sell 100 calendars by December 23rd, we will release not one, but TWO classic Dramas with a Side of Kimchi Patreon podcast episodes. Grab your calendar today!
