Continue readingSomebody let the Maknae do the teasers this week, so you’re getting my unfiltered thoughts about these upcoming dramas. Enjoy!
Continue readingEarly in my kdrama career, I watched Scarlet Heart, closely followed by Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. I was young(er), I was impressionable, and there was this one common denominator between the two dramas — Ji Soo. There’s plenty of eye candy in both dramas, of course, but Ji Soo’s playful gravity, combined with his warm good looks, drew my attention. So come join me as I indulge in a little fangirl stalking of Ji Soo.
When Bad Guys 2 was announced I was ecstatic. I loved the 1st season and was excited to find out what happens to the prisoners turned crime consultants. Then it was announced that the drama would star a different cast. Which, I will admit, dimmed my excitement. I was again saddened when Kim Ha Neul had to step down from the lead role due to his military enlistment. But then they cast Ji Soo. YAY! I love Ji Soo and there is pretty much no drama genre that I won’t at least attempt to watch for him. So here we are four months later viewing the character teasers. Sadly, I am greatly underwhelmed. We are finally at the end of a very long and complicated drama journey. Did we love the last two episodes? Did they destroy the promise of a once bright and quirky show? If you are a huge fan of the thug filler and abusive mom shenanigans, then this is not going to be the recap for you. Usually, I try to look past it all and focus on the adorable OTP (One True Pairing) that has me coming back each week. However, this episode had a limited amount of cute coupleness and abounded with obvious filler scenes. There was so much filler that I had a hard time even coming up with three favorite moments, let alone six. So this is going to be a recap of ranting and an attempt to do some blogging therapy so I am ready to enjoy the show (hopefully) on Friday. So please join me as I go through the various moments that had me screaming “What the Fudge was the writer thinking?” Continue reading
The chemistry between our leads continues to simmer as they come closer and closer to coupledom. At least if things like abusive moms and meddling first love…. oh, and serial kidnappers don’t get in the way. Continue reading
Now we’re talking!! Everything comes together this episode, and the show is firing on all cylinders. Lots of questions are answered and we get some really good insight into our Tiny King Kong. And I think we’re finally starting to see Bong Soon show some interest in our cutie CEO. Continue reading
The romantic triangle is in full force as we watch our three leads run around throwing around misunderstandings like confetti. Thankfully they add just enough comedy and heartwarming moments to make this Fangirl happy. So come join me as I talk about the highs and lows of episode 6. Continue reading
