Never trust a teaser! I was all set to not start this drama because it looked fluffy and full of singing. I like Kpop, but not usually the kind they put in dramas. Thankfully, the Fangirls and I are going through a slump so we all decided to give this one a try. My ab mystery loving heart thanks me. Join us as we give you our mostly filtered thoughts.
Remember the nursery rhyme about the little girl with the curl in the
middle of her forehead? When she was good, she was very, very good, but
when she was bad, she was AWFUL. Well, there are a few romcoms that
maybe didn’t fall into the “awful” category, but we certainly didn’t
enjoy them! Come join Kmuse, Kdrama Jen, Karie the Maknae, and Drama
Geek as we discuss the romcoms we regret watching.
I’ve been in a bit of a drama funk lately. It astounds me because I have a decent kdrama with Yoo Seung Ho to watch (My Strange Hero) and the makjang insanity of Last Empress to keep me hooked. But neither of those dramas is really speaking to me, and as I drama-hop, a la Drama Geek, I find myself wishing to see some favorite faces on my screen. Come with me as I discuss actors and actresses I wish I could see on my screen again, rumors of dramas to come with some of my favorites, and a short list of actors and actresses whom I wish could get a redo on their latest roles.
Sometimes a drama fan just needs to watch a drama with off-the-wall comedic moments and over-the-top makjang intensity. The Last Empress is just such a drama. Come join The Fangirls as we cover our expectations going into The Last Empress, our favorite characters, where we think the story is headed, and so much more!
Every New Year’s Eve, my family has a cheese feast — lots of unique cheeses from around the world, fancy deli meats, yummy crackers . . . and fried mozzarella sticks for my one kid who won’t try ANYTHING new.
Just like our previous lists, there were a ton of memorable secondary characters who deserve a round of applause. Come join The Fangirls as we discuss those performances that stuck with us long after the shows ended.
So many drama choices are getting ready to start. Which means a plethora of teasers are coming our way. Today OCN dropped character teasers for both its upcoming dramas. Come check out the teasers and find out which one might be your next favorite drama. Continue reading →

When I was putting together my post of Korean culture questions for MiataMama, Kdrama Jen helpfully suggested that she had some host daughters who live in Korea, and that they could answer questions too! So below we have answers from HostDaughter1, who is 26, a former military officer and current office worker; and HostDaughter2, who is 21 and currently a student at a prestigious Korean university. MiataMama is an American. She and her children are in Korea with her husband, who has been stationed there with the US military for a few years.
It’s been interesting to see their different responses to these questions, and to see the difference in their experiences. Enjoy!
