This fangirl loves to travel and I’m always looking for shows I can download onto my electronic devices and watch while I’m in no man’s land aka on the plane. I discovered The Princess and the Matchmaker last month and meant to watch it with my fellow fangirls during our time in L.A. for the BTS concert, but we got all distracted by other visual offerings. Last weekend I was headed out of town and I remembered that I had this movie to watch. My best friend, who isn’t into kdramas, watched this one on the plane with me and she laughed while I took notes. Karie the Maknae: Once upon a time, I decided I wanted to watch a movie and review it with MiataMama. We have a mutual love for Gong Yoo, me because Goblin: The Great and Lonely God was my gateway drama, thanks in large part to Gong Yoo’s incredible acting. Between that and my uncharacteristic love for action movies, when MiataMama suggested The Suspect, I thought I could give it a try.
MiataMama: So when Karie the Maknae suggested doing a movie review together, I immediately offered up the 2013 film The Suspect as our subject for discussion. Starring the talented Gong Yoo, this movie has been on my watch list for some time now. After several failed attempts to coerce my hubby into watching a K-movie with me (it’s an action flick, right?!), I decided no more waiting, and dove in feet first!
Occasionally there are movies that come out and you fervently pray that your theater will be one of those special screens showing it in the US. Such is the blockbuster Korean movie Along With the Gods: 49 Days.
