Hi-dee-ho, neighbors! It is I, your lovable Maknae, back from another solo journey into KDramaland. Did I survive? I did! And I came away with a greater appreciation for Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin’s acting skills. Let’s talk about School 2013, shall we?
I am thankful I figured out a spot to put this into the post. And Maknae & Jen said it couldn’t be done. Bwhahahaha
We thought it would be fun to do a tiny post to express all the things we are thankful for this year at Dramas With A Side of Kimchi. So take a moment from basting those turkeys and dodging those relatives (possibly in a closet to check out your favorite dramas) and join us in giving thanks. Continue reading
The plot threads are drawing tighter and the reveals are getting bigger as we wind up While You Were Sleeping. Let’s talk about episodes 27 & 28, shall we?
We have a ton of plot twists this week. Some were amazing, while some were less than surprising. Come join me as I discuss the ins and outs of twist reveals as well as share several moments that stood out. Continue reading
Kmuse was right — the previous set of episodes felt like a plateau. The formula of nail-biting legal fight with the Snake Yu Beom was carried through, but it was the extraneous events that held my attention. Let’s talk episodes 23 and 24!

That spot where we seem to be going nowhere and just re-watching the same type of conflict happen over and over. I think that is where we currently are with While You Were Sleeping. Continue reading
I was hoping to laugh as much as I did in the last episodes, but we have to have a little seriousness to balance all the levity. And so, we shall talk about what happened this time around in While You Were Sleeping.
Last week I finished watching the four episodes and was left feeling………..just ok. Sure, there was plot and stuff happened. But for some reason I just wasn’t emotionally engaged. I wondered if maybe we were in for a lull. A pause in plot until we get to the meaty stuff at the end. Let me just tell you, “That is NOT the case.” There was so much awesome plot and intrigue stuffed into these two episodes that I am overflowing with thoughts. Continue reading
Well, this episode picks up right where we left off, but in greater clarity: Hak Young threatens to reveal Woo Tak’s secret if Woo Tak doesn’t help him prove his innocence, and Woo Tak pulls out a prepared letter of resignation and says “Ok. Let’s do this then.”
Seriously, could this boy get any cooler?
