The Fangirls have been super quiet as a group. We’ve all been watching dramas, but rarely all the same one. We did find one that we did a group first impression, but it just didn’t land in our schedules at the right time for a group recap. We were all starting to despair that nothing would come along, but then Sung Duk Mi swooped into our lives, proper fangirl gear in hand, and we all knew we had the right drama. Join us as we try to keep up with the most talented fan to grace the screen as we recap Her Private Life.
Park Min Young is back! She may not have her ponytail of glory, but she is absolutely adorable as the obsessed fangirl trying to catch a peek at her favorite idols. Just watching the teasers made me happy and full of anticipation for this drama! It looks like we might get a fun sismance too. Bonding over Kpop idols is definitely the way to forge a lifelong friendship!
I am thrilled with the casting for upcoming drama Her Private Life and judging from the teaser I won’t be disappointed. Park Min Young’s energy alone has me excited and fangirling.Continue reading
Our happy couple continues to be in love and adorable, and the finale is filled with last minute wedding details and not much else. It’s not exactly riveting plot exposition, but let’s be honest. We were watching for the cute anyway. Right?
How will Young Joon pop the question? Again? The poor love struck fool is running out of new ideas as he gears up for his fifth and final proposal. Good thing for us he’s got more than one person ready to provide their hilarious input.
Remember when Mi So’s favorite book said that love doesn’t have to be grandiose, just someone to wrap us in a warm hug at the end of a hard day? I feel like that’s exactly what this show does. In a world of traffic and heat waves and weight gain, there is a guaranteed bright spot on Wednesdays and Thursdays full of heartwarming confessions, goofy side characters, and toe curling kisses. This show loves us.
I picture a What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim fan driving to work in the morning and passing a construction site. She spots a bright yellow appliance with the giant bucket on the front and lapses into a dreamy reverie as the friend that carpools with her wonders why she’s smiling at a bulldozer. The passenger may silently consider if the driver has gone insane, but don’t worry. Drama fans understand.
It’s a painful episode for our hero in more ways than one. His valiant effort to protect everyone else finally wears him down and he’s at the breaking point. It’s a good thing he has such a smart, beautiful woman to keep him company on the difficult journey. Continue reading
Remember near the beginning of the show when Secretary Kim said her ideal man had three qualities: someone who cares for her, someone who cares for her, and someone who cares for her? I think she found him.
One hug? That’s all we get? Some major discoveries are made by Mi So and the audience in this episode. But you can’t keep doling out adorable kisses and then make us quit cold turkey. It’s just not fair!
