Thinking about how to say goodbye for now…
This year several of the stars that I’ve come to love are leaving for the military and it feels like drama land will be so empty without them. I’ve been a drama fan for long enough to know that leaving for the military doesn’t have to be the kiss of death for our favorite guys. Let’s send off Ji Chang Wook with hopes that he stays safe and happy and comes back with several new projects to delight us and hopefully one that will showcase his post military abs!
The Rules of Fangirl Stalking:
We will start with the dramas I think are must watch works by the actor. Followed by the shows that could go either way. This means that they are worth watching in my opinion, but I know there are some people who don’t like the genre. Lastly, we will cover the dramas/movies that you really could skip and not miss much (at least in regards of the actor featured). These are the shows that are for die-hard fans who want to watch everything. So let’s jump into obsessing about Ji Chang Work!
Watch ASAP!
Healer is hands down the number one pick. Our OTP have amazing chemistry, and that’s not something I say lightly. When a touch of hands makes you weak in the knees, you know that the kisses are going to be epic (and they are!). Beyond the romance, this storyline stays interesting all the way through. At first you have no clue how it all relates but by the end of the story it wraps up nicely. The secondary characters are stellar and you will fall for them as much as you do for the main characters.
Suspicious Partner/Love in Trouble is JCW’s most recent drama. It doesn’t grab you like Healer does but I enjoyed this drama. This is another drama where he was paired with someone he had amazing chemistry with and the OTP’s interactions were fun to watch. Ji Chang Wook’s face is so expressive and I love how physical of an actor he is. Also watch this one for the bromance between all the men in the office. I won’t give any spoilers, but Chief Bang made me bawl my eyes out.
Depending on my Mood
Empress Ki is actually a drama I have not watched yet, but it’s on the list because so many people love it. I’m going to admit that I have commitment issues and 50 episodes is more than I’m willing to devote myself to. I’ll give in one day, probably soon when I start thinking about how this drama would be a great way to fill the time while Ji Chang Wook is in the military. Ji Chang Wook + Ha Ji Won = epic romance (maybe I’ll just watch it in 10 episode increments….).
Bachelor’s Vegetable Store is another one I have not actually watched, but I actually started it today. It’s another drama everyone loves and it’s based on a true story.
For the Die Hard Fans

Hello? I’m looking for a leading lady that has more than one facial expression…..
K2 made me lose my mind. Seriously. I know a lot of people liked it but I could not stand this drama. Ji Chang Wook was great, but even his acting couldn’t save this one for me. He had more chemistry with the evil stepmother than he did with Yoona’s character. I did not finish this drama. We do get to see a hint of what Ji Chang Wook would look like in military clothing though…

Yes, yes he is an angel!
Secret Love-Guardian Angel 2013 was actually a short drama series where the girls of pop group Kara each had a segment . This episode is a fun and fluffy watch as Ji Chang Wook plays a feisty guardian angel who falls for the human he’s watching over.

Keeping the fans in his heart…
Let’s keep the home fires burning for the guys who are serving their country by keeping them in our hearts and on our screens while they are gone.
Until our next Fangirl post,
CLKYTTA
P.S. I know I missed some dramas. Some of the older dramas I’m still catching up on and I’m not a horribly big fan of saeguks so my posts are typically light on those. I always love to hear what I may have missed though, so comment and tell me what I need to watch!
I just started watching EMPRESS KI. I’m on episode 15, so I’m not even half way through yet! I can’t say I’m loving JCW’s whiny emperor character, but I CAN say I’m enjoying watching his pouty little facial expressions! The emperor is seriously a wuss to the nth degree (his antics makes you inwardly cringe), but I think (hope) he will become stronger as the drama continues. I’m not sure if he is classified as the 1st male lead or the 2nd male lead in this drama, The female lead is smitten with someone else, and I’m not sure she is ever going to change her mind! But, there are sooooo many episodes left, anything could happen!
You left off Warrior Baek Dong Soo!!!! That is EPIC – has an amazing bromance between our boy & Yoo Seong Ho that totally beats whatever is supposed to go on w/the lead girl (who is a stick & the worst thing about the drama but isn’t in it enough to hurt it). The older guys are great as well – our hot ninya ajusshi OMG (Choi Min Soo). Truly an awesome drama 😀
I’m not a big saeguk fan so I have not watched that one.
