Top 5 Kpop MVs: Bring on the Ballads

Maybe it’s because I’m feeling nostalgic, now that the end of the year is just around the corner. Or maybe I’m just needing an escape from the stress of real life at the moment. Either way, a batch of new ballads have taken over my playlist and I can’t wait to share them all with you!

ATEEZ – ‘Turbulence’

By now you all know my love for ATEEZ runs deep – I’ve never met a song of theirs that didn’t strike a chord. This ballad is no different! In fact, it instantly shot up to the top of my favorites list after just the first listen. Whether you’re in your 20’s or 40’s, the lyrics hit deep and hold fast. Plus that harmony from ‘Wave’ at the end makes me tear up. Every. Single. Time.

KAI – ‘Peaches’

EXO’s Kai is back with a new solo album and the MV for his title track is a dreamy dive into fusion sageuk visuals. I enjoyed the variety of hanbok styles, as well as Kai’s flawless choreography and sweet vocals for this song!

YOUNHA – ‘Stardust’

Every time I watch the story of this MV unfold, I can’t help but delight in how pretty and ethereal it is! The music feels so wistful yet triumphant, as YounHa’s beautiful voice mixes with the violins, creating a magical moment in time.

10CM – ‘Yesterday You Left Me’

This has got to be one of the most chill-sounding breakup songs I’ve heard in a while. I’m not sure if he’s feeling regretful or glad that it’s over . . . but in the meantime, I’m just going to be over here soaking up all the laid-back, coffee-house vibes this song has to offer!

STRAY KIDS – ‘Winter Falls’

Honestly, when I first heard this track it wasn’t love at first listen. BUT, oddly enough, after watching the MV for ‘Winter Falls’ and witnessing all the heartbreak and pain, I knew this ballad had to have a permanent spot on my regular playlist.

No, it’s not a ballad, but I HAD to share this highly entertaining offering from SKZ! New Christmas songs rarely worm their way onto my holiday playlist. I usually prefer to stick to the classics. BUT Christmas EveL is just too much fun to pass up. Just watch and you’ll see what I mean! “Felix Navidad” y’all!!

Drop down to the comments and let me know which ballad most matched your mood this week!
