Remember a year ago when I was so excited for Tribes and Empires: Storm of Prophecy because of their 1st trailer? In case you have forgotten, feel free to remind yourself by seeing the 1st trailer again HERE. Fast forward a year and we are still waiting for the dramas release. A fact that would usually make me upset, except for one little thing. They just created one of the most epic looking dramas in the history of dramas. We are talking full all out Game of Thrones level production values. Which means if I have to wait a year for them to create this grand of a drama… I’ll happily wait with bells on.
The series is set in the fictional world of Novoland during the twilight years of the Duan Dynasty, and follows the brotherhood of a imprisoned half-human half-spirit prince Muyun Sheng, an abandoned son of a general Muru Hanjiang, and the heir of a slaughtered tribe Shuofeng Heye as they uncover the secrets of their past and seek both revenge and justice for the ones they love.
Interwoven among the men are the women who also cannot escape from the storm of prophecies. The woman who was prophesied to be Muyun Sheng’s Queen but whose heart belong to someone else Su Yuning, the fierce warrior Princess Muyun Yanshuang, and a spirit locked inside a gem Panxi.
I personally love this style of drama and the grand scale of the production makes it even more of a must-watch for me. The drama is based on the novel by the same name and if any of my readers know where I can find it translated, send me a quick note in the comments.
The show is said to be released in early 2017…….but here we are still without a firm date. That said, I still have hopes that it will come out in the next few months. I personally think it would be the perfect summer blockbuster for drama fans and I can’t wait to chat about it with all my fellow DramaAddicts.
