Before Dramageddon, some of the Fangirls were delighting in the romance of Devilish Joy. Come join Kmuse, Kdrama Jen, Karie the Maknae, and special guest Drama Rookie as they discuss the ups and downs of Ma Sung and Gi Bbeum’s love, evil aunts and CEOs, and the weirdness that is Ma Sung’s Cinderella syndrome.
It’s no secret amongst my fellow fangirls that I am in L-O-V-E with the currently airing Kdrama Devilish Joy. Why? I present to you Exhibit A: Choi Jin Hyuk. This actor commands each different character given him, captivating the viewers with a quiet strength and unwavering determination. Yet, when needed, he is able to easily balance out his imposing stature with a sweet and gentle empathy. Also, I would be totally remiss if I didn’t mention his voice–it’s a-MAZ-ing! The magnetism of his rich rumble coupled with his crinkly-eyed smiles is truly exquisite. Since I’m obviously smitten, I may have, not-so-subtly, hinted that a fangirl stalking post for this particular actor was essential for the blog. So come join me as I gush unapologetically about Choi Jin Hyuk!
I think I’ve finally found a companion to Still 17! MiataMama and I decided to give Devilish Joy a whirl after hearing it described as being somewhat like 50 First Dates. Thankfully, I don’t spy anyone like Rob Schneider in this one (not a knock on the man himself — his character was just awful in that movie). Nor is the lead character stuck in the same day — he and the people around him are fully aware of his Cinderella amnesia, as they call it. The amnesia is the ONLY thing that ties the two together.
