Chinese Drama When A Snail Falls in Love Releases 2nd OTPcentric Trailer

2a53I am so excited for the upcoming Chinese drama, When A Snail Falls in Love, that I have had this trailer on repeat all day. I love the casting and all the cute alpha male vs socially awkward profiler leading lady antics.  It fits perfectly with the vision I have in my mind when I read the novel the drama is based on.2a51

**SYNOPSIS: Detective Ji Bai and new criminal profiler Xu Xu may seem like an awkward teacher-student pair at first glance, yet they are actually the best partners in the police force, solving one crime after another. Ji Bai slowly falls in love with Xu Xu, yet she is a girl who is as slow as a snail when it comes to love. Just as Xu Xu starts to reciprocate Ji Bai’s feelings, the dormant “Angel’s Killer” reappears.

In the novel, I really enjoyed that the story is from the leading lady’s point of view.  It is all about Xu Xu finding her place in a police force where brawn is usually equal or above brains and she falls a bit short in the physical aspect.  But during Ji Bai’s mentoring, both find a connection to each other.  It is perfect as a romance as well as a mystery drama.

The FIRST TRAILER focused on the action/mystery aspect of the drama.  In the second we get our cute snail/lion OTP (One True Pairing) which just throws me straight into fangirl mode.  Watch it here and be sure to check back once the drama starts (TBA) for more reviews.

  1. I have watched that second teaser five times. They are adorable together. She is so cute and tiny and he is so …big. I love it. The drawings are perfect for them, a brawny lion and a cute little snail.

  2. You said you read the book? Is it available somewhere in English? I just finished watching the drama. Up to this point, I’ve only been watching Kdramas, but I absolutely fell in love with both leads in this drama. Loved, loved, loved it. However, I feel like I missed a bunch that was maybe better explained in the book? I found where someone was somewhat summarizing the book, but it isn’t complete. Would love to read it.
