Trolling the Netflix Waters: What to Watch and What to Throw Back Part 6

I don’t know about you, but it has been a super stressful week being a kpop fan. With everything that has been going on it has made me want to disappear into a drama free hole. So where do I turn when I need a small escape from Korean entertainment? I go check out all the new Filipino movies that showed up on Netflix of course.

Can’t Help Falling In Love

Synopsis: Gab is eager to tie the knot with her handsome boyfriend, but there is a problem. She’s already married to a total stranger.

This movie is my rom-com happy place. How can you go wrong watching two people accidentally get married when they are drunk, then have to try and get divorced on the down-low? All while falling in love for reals this time. It is the perfect movie to help you forget about reality for a while.

Everyday I Love You

Synopsis – While patiently waiting for her boyfriend to come out of his coma, Audry finds herself falling for the caring and successful Ethan

I love the romcom combo of Enriue Gil & Liza Soberano. They just have this super cute sizzle and are adorable as an OTP. While this isn’t my favorite of their movies I still highly recommend for when you need a dose of cuteness to get you through the day.

Always Be My Maybe

Synopsis: After being dumped by their respective lovers, a man and women embark on a unique relationship to find someone new.

This was a fun movie that, while not the most memorable, left me feeling happy. Also, Gerald Anderson is super sexy and the movie is totally worth watching just to stare at him for two hours.

Let me know if you take my advice and whether you agree or disagree in the comments!

Until the next net cast,

  1. I really liked Everyday I Love You. It was the first dip of the toe into the Filipino movie pool, but the waters felt great and I can’t wait to dive in for more. Thanks for the list to help keep me going in the right direction.

  2. Ooh, I earmarked these three when I spotted them on the Coming Soon list. I’ll be watching, now that you’ve recommended them. Thanks.
