Top 5 Kpop MVs: Too Sweet or Just Right?

Just in time to cure your post-Valentine’s Day blues, we have sweet songs with candy-colored MVs, and then a darkly elegant palate-cleanser from Monsta X. Come check it out!

J.UNA – “Foolish”

This jazzy indie pop number is captivating — I love J.UNA’s voice and sense of style.

Kim Woo Seok – “Sugar”

Check out this treat from Kim Woo Seok! “Sugar” lives up to its name — it’s candy-colored pop, easy on the ears and the eyes.

Cherry Bullet – “Love So Sweet”

This sweet number from Cherry Bullet is solid — I found myself bopping along with the chorus.

Sumi Jo x Rain – “수호신”

I stumbled on the MV and was absolutely entranced. The animation tells a deceptively simple story, but more importantly, somehow Rain and classically-trained Sumi Jo are perfectly paired. I love the contrast between their voices and how well they still work together. Check it out!

FRESH TRACK: Monsta X – “Wanted”

I’m loving the dark elegance of this MV paired with Monsta X’s solid vocals. This is a great song, but I would expect nothing less from Monsta X.

Are these the after-Valentine’s-Day treats you were looking for, music fans? Drop down in the comments and let me know!

Until the next candy heart, I remain —
