I started watching Chinese dramas only 18 mths ago so am still really new to the ins and outs, including the various actors. So I just vaguely know who most of these actors are. However, I am a sucker for shiny and pretty production so thought I would share this with everyone else that needs a dose of pretty today. I also plan on watching since I am a sucker for sci-fi romance dramas.
Ice Fantasy is a Chinese drama starring Feng Shao Feng (Prince of Lan Ling), Victoria Song of f(x), Ma Tian Yu, and Hu Bing. Based on the popular novel of the same name by Guo Jingming, it follows the story of two princely brothers who were sent to the human world, away from their Ice Kingdom.
**SYNOPSIS:
The story is about the battle between the Ice Tribe and the Fire Tribe. After a fatal war with the Fire Tribe, only older Bro, Ka Suo, and younger brother, Ying Kong Shi, survive among the siblings. To hide the last blood of the Ice Tribe, the brothers are sent to another realm for 30 years. Ka Suo wants to live his own life and be free from his responsibilities as the next King since he is older. Ying Kong Shi wants to be free from his brother, Ka Suo, and also wants to take over his brother’s position. When they return back to the Ice Tribe, Ka Suo’s lover mysteriously disappears and later, even his brother.
Ice Fantasy is set to air in July and hopefully will be subbed by Viki (crossing my fingers that they will pick it up now that they have started legally subbing Chinese shows).

I love your postings on this series… I have to confess I’m in love with Ice Fantasy with all its quirks and, melodrama and Rat Monsters. Unlike American series where it can take a year to get the plot moved forward- each episode leaps (literally) through one adventure into another. Do you know if the promo poster showing the full cast (cover of dvd) is sold anywhere? I want to add it to my fantasy wall with Game of Thrones & Lord of the Rings.
