This show has so many actors that I truly enjoy, there is only one problem with it…..It is a medical drama. Long time readers know that this is not my favorite genre. In fact, the only genres I dislike more are Lawyer shows and reunited divorced couples. Why can’t Chillbongie choose a show I really want to watch? I am beginning to worry that I don’t like him as much as Reply 1994 convinced me I did.
Also, I can’t decide if a kiss in the teaser is a good or bad thing. On one hand, there is a chance we will get a lot of good smooching. On the other hand, does the fact they feel the need to show a kiss in the teaser mean it is lacking plot? I compare this to when movie trailers insert all their best material within two minutes, leaving one frustrated with the movie.
SYNOPSIS: Both Kang Dong Joo (Yoo Yeon Seok) and Yoon Seo Jeong (Seo Hyun Jin) worked their backside off to become a doctor. For Kang Dong Joo, it was to beat someone out there and for Yoon Seo Jeong, it was to be recognized by someone. The humanist drama depicts how the two doctors meet the oddball doctor, Kim Sa Bu and become to realize the true value of life and solace of love.
I tend to have mixed feelings when it comes to screenwriter Kang Eun-Kyung (What Happened to My Family, Gu Family Book). Usually, I really enjoy the first half of her shows but then the stories get muddled towards the end. But for Chillbongie I am just going to have to suck it up and give Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim a chance.
