So I Married an Anti-Fan
April 30th, Viki
This one flew under my radar somehow! Check out this MDL plot description and the trailer below to see if this is the romcom you’ve been looking for: “Hoo Joon is a top star while Geun Young is a magazine reporter. For a potential news article, Geun Young decides to attend an opening ceremony for a club. There, she witnesses top star Hoo Joon’s violent behavior and she also vomits on him by accident. This leads to Geun Young losing her job. Believing that Hoo Joon was behind her firing, she decides to get him back by demonstrating in front of Hoo Joon’s management office. Slowly, she begins to receive media coverage on her demonstration and soon becomes famous as an anti-fan. A PD approaches Geun Young about participating in a reality TV show which revolves around the idea of a top star and their anti-fan living together. Being unemployed, she decides to accept the offer. Meanwhile, Hoo Joon is offered the same reality TV show and accepts to try to improve his image. Hoo Joon and Geun Young try to give each other a hard time on the reality show, but soon start to fall for one another.”
Bossam: Steal the Fate
May 1st, Viki
Bossam was finally picked up by Viki! Is this the historical that everyone will be talking about?
Youth of May
May 3, KOCOWA
A historical drama of a different flavor (some of us were alive in 1980 — does that make it historical still?), Youth of May will be giving us a personal glimpse into the lives of young people swept into the Gwangju Uprising.
Imitation
May 7th, Viki
It may be a little web drama about idols being played by idols, but some of the Fangirls (*cough*MiataMamaandtheMaknae*cough*) are SUPER excited for it!
Mine
May 8, Netflix
This makjang thriller is about two women who married into a chaebol family and will stop at nothing to find their true joy. What would you do?
As always, drama fans, we want to know — what will YOU be watching?
The Fangirls
Dramas with a Side of Kimchi
I knew i saw “So I married an Anti-Fan” a few years ago! It was a Chinese-Korean Rom Com movie. Back when we still had DramaFever (Sniffles! :_- (. Awesome that K-drama finally took a crack at it.
Right?? I started that one right before DF disappeared. I’m interested to see how this drama goes!
