Top 5 Kpop MVs: Loads of Light

This week’s kpop releases all feature some form of light or lightness, even as they delight my ears! Come see if these songs from Blackpink, BAE173, Lucy, and more capture your attention the way they did mine.

BAE173 – “DaSH”

I’m loving the tight sound and tight choreography of BAE173’s “DaSH.” They’ve always been a lot of fun to experience since their debut, playing with color and light and spectacular imagery, and this is no exception. Also, trains in space! How could you NOT watch that?

Luminous – “Engine”

This light and bright and upbeat single is SO very Luminous. It’s very, very danceable and I love it.

Lucy – “Play”

This light single covers a deep concept – remembering how good childhood was when adulthood wears you down. It’s sweet and simple and touching and very Lucy-like.

Cix – “458”

The dark side of addictive love still has some light to it, it seems. Watch how CIX pulls it out and shows it off admirably.

Blackpink – “Pink Venom”

The use of dramatic light and rich detail is expertly played in “Pink Venom,” and Blackpink’s maturity shows in their controlled choreography and layered vocals. LOVE watching how confident these ladies are!
