Top 5 Kpop MVs: Something Old, Something New

We’ve had a mix of great solo and group comebacks lately, which makes my heart — and my ears! — super happy. I also ran across one video that confused the heck out of me at first. Come see which one it is in this week’s Top 5 Kpop MVs!

INFINITE – “Paradise”

This MV was fascinating to me — I was listening to it rather than watching it and loving the sound, AND THEN I LOOKED UP. Turns out Woollim, Infinite’s company, has signed a distribution agreement with 1theK, confusing kpop fans everywhere as they re-release earlier hits with current release dates. LOL. Enjoy this trip down memory lane Infinite — this MV is definitely worth the second look!

Kim Jae Hwan – “I Wouldn’t Look For You”

Kim Jae Hwan has a captivating voice — I’m loving his solo efforts, and “I Wouldn’t Look for You” is no exception. The Spanish beat adds flair to this simple, emotion-driven song.

SuperM – “We DO”

What makes laundromats such fun places? I’ve never been in one that clean, that’s for sure. We’ll assume it’s SuperM’s bright energy that clears all the dirt away. Come have a party with their new MV!

SHINee – “Atlantis”

LOVE the energy in this — the hark back to their earlier sound, the harmonies, the suspicious-looking seahorses (their eyes totally moved! I promise!). Onew and Key are OWNING the soaring vocals, Taemin’s polished professionalism just glows, and Minho’s rap slays. SHINee is coming back strong, and I am HERE for it.

Kang Daniel – “Antidote”

Kang Daniel’s last album flipped the switch for me — I’m now obsessed! “Antidote” is the perfect complement to “Paranoia” and I love how supportive his dancers are this time around, instead of attacking him.

What’s on your playlist this week, music fans? Drop down in the comments and let me know!

Until the next comeback, I remain —
