Top 10 Kpop MVs: Bringing the Boys and the Girls to the Stage

We have gotten SO MUCH good content from the kpop world lately, music fans! I can’t believe how many comebacks and debuts we’ve had — talk about an abundance of blessings! Come see what recent MVs have caught my eye. Buckle up, because there has been a LOT.

IU – “Coin”

All hail the queen of fashion and smirks! This “all in” anthem makes my ears and my eyes happy. Pulling in a famous actor from Tazza to go with the gambling theme doesn’t hurt either.

ROSÉ – “On the Ground”

Can’t talk about recent anthems and skip over Rose’s declaration of independence. I love the feel of the song, and the MV is colorful and explosive, backing up Rose’s new viewpoint.

Purple Kiss – “Ponzona”

Talk about powerful! Members of Purple Kiss penned this number as trainees and rocked it so much that it’s now their debut number. I’m impressed — and I LOVE their sound.

Weeekly – “After School”

In contrast to Purple Kiss’ dark number, we have the fresh and fun beats of Weeekly. I love the choreography and the grounded feel of this song. It seems that breathy vocals are on their way out, and that makes me SUPER happy!

TRI.BE – “Doom Doom Ta”

I’m loving the syncopated beats and strong vocals of the debut group TRI.BE. They look young, but this MV makes it feel like they’ve been in the game for years.

WEi – “All or Nothing”

I’m loving all the attention to detail in this MV, and the smooth sound that WEi has managed to achieve in a relatively short amount of time.

WayV – “Kick Back”

Ha! I didn’t think I listened to mandopop, but it dawned on me the other day that WayV is primarily a Chinese group. Granted, the boys speak three languages among themselves at any given moment — not that it makes them any less chaotic or adorable. Anyway, “Kick Back” is a great comeback song and I’m loving the outfits in this MV; they’re very eclectic, much like the boys themselves.

Pentagon – “Do or Not”

Look at Pentagon, blending retro and modern into a vibe all their own! I’m loving this comeback MV, and their new album has been a delight.

Drippin – “Young Blood”

More smooth vocals and danceable beats headed your way! I’m really enjoying this fresh MV from Drippin — who HASN’T wanted to escape from their mindless part-time job from time to time?

MIRAE – “Killa”

Mirae’s sound is totally up my alley — soaring vocals, tight raps, and a deep beat that doesn’t ever stop. LOVE IT.

This is just a sampling of what’s come out lately! What’s caught your eye lately, music fans? Drop down in the comments and let me know!

Until the next comeback, I remain —
